Chief Revenue Officer

Otus is solving two of the biggest challenges facing K-12 education: teachers need to get more things done in a limited amount of time and all stakeholders (students, families, teachers, and administrators) need access to relevant student performance data.

We are seeking a passionate and inspirational Chief Revenue Officer to join the executive team to help us scale to the next level of growth.

This is absolutely a CRO role (experience in SaaS sales, marketing, and client services), not to be conflated with a CFO (experience in accounting and financial operations).

In this role, you will own the strategy, execution, and operations of all of our current and future revenue streams and revenue-generating teams.

Objectives of this Role

  • Ensure that Otus has a clear and easy-to-understand Saas revenue strategy that encompasses all of the ways in which we generate revenue and sets us up for long-term growth

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Monitor the marketplace and analyze opportunities, providing competitive analysis, strategies, and tactics
  • Collaborate with finance, product management, marketing, sales, and client services leaders to achieve revenue goals
  • Optimize sales, marketing, and client services operations to ensure revenue strategy can be implemented and executed

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience of revenue ownership in a SaaS business with a successful track record and demonstrable business expansion and growth.
  • Inspirational leadership style and hands-on approach
  • Successful track record in working across sales, marketing, client services, and product teams.
  • Strong ability to use data, to be honest, transparent, and inspirational.
  • Understanding of how to establish and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues, clients, and partners.
  • Strong leadership experience with the ability to lead change and take others with you.
  • Ability to facilitate discussions to resolve conflicting processes, content, opinions.
  • Able to demonstrate a high degree of passion and energy whilst maintaining a positive outlook.
